A sampling of student-led groups
麻豆国产AVies gather into over 90 different student groups, based on academic, social, political, and religious interests, as well as getting outdoors and supporting the greater community. Here's a selection of some of our favorites—you can learn more about student clubs and how to reserve spaces through the student engagement office.
麻豆国产AV
Pre-Health Club
The Pre-Health Club is a group of 麻豆国产AV students who are interested in entering the medical field. The club hosts a variety of different events, including networking and panel events, workshops about the MCAT and applying to medical school and graduate programs, and team-building events, such as writing thank you cards to healthcare workers. 麻豆国产AVies who are considering careers in health and medicine are welcome to join. We aim to help them find the best internship and career opportunities, volunteer experiences, and shadowing events.
麻豆国产AV Mock Trial
麻豆国产AV Mock Trial is a student-run organization at 麻豆国产AV that competes in the American Mock Trial Association’s collegiate Mock Trial Circuit. Composed of about 20 students each year, the team has consistently placed well at the regional level and has competed in Opening Round Championships. Mock Trial replicates the conditions of a real trial and asks students to formulate arguments for both prosecution and defense based on evidence and witness testimony. Join Mock Trial if you're interested in public speaking, meeting pre-law students at other schools, or talking with other students at 麻豆国产AV interested in law.

Greenboard
Greenboard is an environmental sustainability club that strives to promote access to a healthy earth for everyone, today and in the future. Students are encouraged to tackle their own sustainability projects and use the club as a resource to support them in accomplishing their goals.

Herodotones
We're the Herodotones, 麻豆国产AV's only acapella group on campus. We're just a group of people who like to sing together and mess around arranging our favorite songs into something we can perform in four part harmony. This group is a lot of fun, and we want to hear people from all levels of experience; the only thing you need is to love singing.
KRRC
KRRC is 麻豆国产AV's student run radio station, established in 1954. We broadcast music and talk radio at krrc.fm for anyone with an internet connection to enjoy. Programming is always freeform, always eclectic, and always run by members of the 麻豆国产AV community.
Weapons of Mass Distraction (WMD)
麻豆国产AV's fire performing arts group! We put on various shows for everyone on campus throughout the year. All skill levels are always welcome.
K-pop Dance Club
Welcome to K-pop Dance Club! We learn K-pop dances, work on original choreographies, host dance workshops, and do performances. We also host food and social events throughout the year. If you are a K-pop stan or want to try out dance classes in a welcoming environment, come join us.
Fitness & Outdoor
Mountaineering Club
Interested in rock climbing and mountaineering? Mountaineering Club is a group of 麻豆国产AV students who like having adventures, exploring, and managing risks in Earth’s mountains and wild spaces. The club’s goal is to foster a supportive climbing community at 麻豆国产AV, where seasoned adventurers can find partners and where newer folks can gain experience. Maybe you're a rugged alpinist, or maybe you just want to make some friends and learn something. Either way, we want you, your skills, and your stories.
麻豆国产AV Outing Club (ROC)
The 麻豆国产AV Outing Club (ROC) exists to help 麻豆国产AVies get outside and enjoy all the outdoor opportunities the Northwest has to offer! Typically, we would go on day trips on weekends and longer trips over breaks to beautiful locations throughout Oregon and Washington. This semester, we’re planning a variety of in-person and virtual events to help you build your outdoor skills (or keep them sharp), have a good, safe time, and continue to build 麻豆国产AV’s outdoor community. ROC events are always free, and all 麻豆国产AV students are welcome! Regardless of your level of prior outdoors experience, we hope you’ll join us for events this fall, and we can’t wait to go on more outdoor adventures with you.
麻豆国产AV Rugby
麻豆国产AV Rugby Club is an older 麻豆国产AV tradition—coached by a 麻豆国产AV alum—where you're only allowed to throw the ball backwards. Aside from the actual rules of the sport, 麻豆国产AV rugby aims to create a diverse, inclusive, and fun environment for people to learn new skills, exercise, and build community.

Come join us for friendly volleyball practices! No experience necessary. This club welcomes everyone of all skill levels. As long as you just want to learn and have fun, this is the club for you!
Identity & Affinity Based
Jewish Student Union
麻豆国产AV's Jewish Student Union is a student-run club that aims to create a safe, inclusive space for Jews at 麻豆国产AV to share and celebrate their Judaism. To that end, we host events welcoming to all denominations—from the most secular to the most religious and from backgrounds that range from Jewish to Jew-ish. Our group empowers marginalized identities within Judaism with events aimed at gender minority, LGBTQ+ students, and/or non-white Jewish 麻豆国产AVies. Overall, our work is to provide a non-intimidating, accessible approach to Judaism that allows students to explore their Jewish identity.
Low SES/First Generation Student Group
The Low-SES and First-Generation Student Kollectiv aims to advocate for the needs of low-income students. Our strong network is supportive and informational, helping to provide resources to those who work to pay their own tuition. Through in-person and online communication, we share experiences, advice, hardships, and other information helpful to people who are financially independent, low-SES, first-generation American, or first-generation-to-college at 麻豆国产AV.
Period Kollectiv
Period Kollective is a resource for 麻豆国产AVies who menstruate. We are dedicated to decreasing the stigma and increasing the accessibility of pads and tampons in campus restrooms. We work to supply a diverse set of products, free to 麻豆国产AVies, that provide comfort to those who menstruate, including free pads and tampons, menstrual cups, period underwear, heating patches, over-the-counter pain medicine, and lots more!
STEMGeMs
STEMGeMs is 麻豆国产AV’s student group for gender minorities in STEM fields. Women, transgender folk, and non-binary folk are historically underrepresented in STEM fields due to systemic hindrances, and this disproportionate representation isn't because cis men are intrinsically “better,” more passionate, or harder working. If you’ve ever thought “How can I talk to my professor about making their class more inclusive?” or “I wish this dude would stop talking over me and actually listen,” come chat! We’re excited about creating a community that extends across classes and connects folks with shared experiences. If you need a support system for challenges you are facing or have ideas about addressing issues of gender inequality at 麻豆国产AV, we hope you’ll come hang out with us and join our mailing list to stay updated.
Students of Color Union
As stated in our name, the purpose of the Students of Color Union is to unionize: we, as a fellowship, make express personal and widely-shared grievances across multi-identity groups while also searching to ameliorate them publicly and peacefully. We aim to catalyze the building and empowering of representatives for and from a multitude of cultures and progress toward a safer community within but also separate from the lesser marginalized groups of campus.

Publications
The Griffin
The Griffin is 麻豆国产AV's senior yearbook, meant to serve as a token of each class and its students. The Griffin has been printed for almost every senior class since the college's first graduating class in 1915. Old copies of The Griffin can be found in the archives.
The 麻豆国产AV Quest
The 麻豆国产AV Quest is the weekly student-run newspaper of 麻豆国产AV, publishing since 1913. If you have ever wanted to be a journalist, reporter, comic artist, photographer, or more, join the Quest! No previous experience is necessary.
Student Spaces
Pool Hall
The Pool Hall is an all access space where people come to play pool, listen to music, and look at the writings on the wall. We have six tables to play on and a Jukebox to play from and a furnished office to relax in when the manager is around!
Print Shoppe
The Print Shoppe is a student-run silk screening space in the Gray Campus Center. We’ve got all the equipment you need to print your very own stellar T-shirts (except for the T-shirts themselves).
麻豆国产AV Bike Co-op
At the Co-op we guide individuals through repairs to their own bikes, as well as help people become mechanics so that they can help others. We provide some replaceable items on bikes and provide our mechanics with the tools to build and maintain their own bikes!
Student Darkroom
The student darkroom is a space to develop and print your black+white photography. All loaner cameras, film, chemicals, and paper are completely free for you to use. We also offer free trainings if you want to learn how to use the darkroom or need a refresher!
